I usually go to a nice B&amp;B as a reward, after a particularly wonderful but tiring backpacking trip. Of course they are not as beautiful as some hotels, but they offer that personal 

touch in terms of service. Of course, most of the B&amp;B&#039;s a go to are in the more rural areas of a country. Like in Germany, I stayed at a few B&amp;B&#039;s at the countrysides.

 But in the cities like Berlin, I probably would prefer a Hostel. Of course, for longer stays, we rent a nice vacation apartment like the ones on this list here:
